A Li'l Bit About Dean's Greenhouse

Dean's Greenhouse was established in 1924 and is one of the oldest, continually operated businesses in Westlake, Ohio. Sam Dean started as a local farmer and would take his produce into Cleveland via horse and wagon. Soon, he began constructing greenhouses to extend his growing season. Not long after this followed ventures into packaging companies, the retail greenhouse and the addition of a retail flower shop.

Fast Forward - 2007
After 30 years of providing the floral arrangements and gift items to their loyal customer in Westlake an the surrounding communities, the Dean family decided to concentrate on their wholesale and retail greenhouse operations and closed the flower shop. Through their greenhouse operations, by providing locally grown plants, flowers and vegetables, Dean's helps cut down on fuel consumption and emissions by eliminating the need to truck in a majority of their plants and flowers. Dean's also reuses and recycles by taking back plastic flats and pots to either be used again for new plants or to be recycled, keeping them out of the landfills. Dean's Fall Return-a-Fern program offers gift certificates for healthy Boston ferns returned to Dean's which are cared for and resold in the Spring which promotes conscientious gardening and reduces the energy required to grow new ferns.

Because Dean's Greenhouse grows and supplies you with only the highest quality live plants, all of the plants and flowers you purchase from us are covered by our Plant & Flower Guarantee. If you purchase a plant or flower from Dean's and have a problem with it within the first 12 months, we will replace if for you at no charge. Simply return the plant or flower to Dean's with your original receipt and we'll gladly exchange it for a new one.

Only one exchange per plant. Annuals are guaranteed for one growing season only (Spring to Fall) and not a full 12 months.
